How do I search for a job?
The Marsh & McLennan Companies careers section features job openings at Marsh & McLennan Companies Corporate (the parent company) and all of Marsh & McLennan Companies's operating companies. Marsh & McLennan Companies is the parent company of a number of the world's leading risk experts and specialty consultants, including Marsh, Mercer, Kroll, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman. Click "Search Positions at Marsh & McLennan Companies and our Operating Companies" for a combined list of jobs at the parent company and all the Marsh & McLennan Companies operating companies.

How do I apply for a job?
Marsh & McLennan Companies Corporate accepts applications through this website, in addition to at in-person career fairs and presentations on college/university campuses and at conferences. We also list opportunities at our operating companies here, but for more information, please see their respective websites. Sometimes we may advertise positions on other recruitment websites, like Monster.com and CareerBuilder. These advertisements will link you back to our careers site.

From the search results list, click on the "Job Title" link to read more about the job. If you are interested in the role, click the "Apply Online" button. If you are a new user, you will be asked to enter your email address and create a password. Please record your user name and password for future visits to the site. You will then be asked to answer a series of questions, complete a skills assessment, and enter your resume/CV if you have not already.

After I submit my application will I receive a response?
Yes. You will receive an email confirming that your application has been received.

When can I expect to hear from you about my application?
If there is an interest in your application, you will most likely be contacted for an interview within 30 days of your application. We regret that we cannot contact all applicants regarding their status. You are most likely to receive a response and/or advance through the process if the position to which you apply closely matches your skills and background.

What's the application process?
Navigate to our careers page and select a company, location, or job category. You can also conduct keyword and job number searches. You can review the job listings, and click on any of the jobs for more details about the position. If you would like to apply for the position, click on the "Apply Online Now" link.

The first step to apply is to create your basic profile and upload a resume. You can do this by clicking the link in the "New Candidate" section. Once that is completed, you will be presented with the Marsh & McLennan Companies online application, and then job-specific questions. Please be sure to continue through the process until you receive a message acknowledging your application's submission.

Will my resume be shared with all Marsh & McLennan Companies operating companies?
Yes, both your candidate profile and resume will be stored in our database, and will be available to our recruiters nationwide. This practice is explained in detail in the Privacy Statement Acknowledgement portion of the log-in process.

I was referred to Marsh & McLennan Companies for an open position by a current employee. How can I add or modify the information provided by my referrer? You may receive correspondence to choose a password and will be allowed to access the career section once to add or modify the information in your candidate profile. You can access your candidate profile by visiting the online career website of the company where you were referred. If it was a job-specific referral, select the job or click "Candidate Profiler." Then, use the returning user login screen. Your username is the email address provided by the referrer and you must click "Forgot Your Password?" to receive email instructions on how to obtain a password.

Am I able to update my application?
Yes, updates can be made once submitted, and you can submit a new application at anytime. To update a job-specific application, login and update information as necessary. If a position has already been filled or is no longer available, you will not be able to make changes to your application.

Can I update my candidate profile too?
To update your general profile, login and make changes. These changes will be applied to future job-specific applications, but will not appear on prior applications.

How long will my application be kept active?
Your application will be kept active in the database for a minimum of 120 days. You can submit a new application at anytime.

Will I be considered for positions other than the one for which I submitted my application?
We retain all applications in the database for a minimum of 120 days and an application can be considered for multiple positions depending on your prior experience. Both your candidate profile and resume will be stored in our database and will be available to our recruiters.

Can I submit my information without applying for a position?
If you do not want to apply for a specific job, you can still submit your resume/CV using the Candidate Profile "Access Your Profile" option. It is highly recommended that before beginning to apply for jobs, you complete the candidate profile, as this helps recruiters match your qualifications to any future job opportunities. We also encourage you to check back often, as our job openings are updated on a regular basis. If your personal information changes or you would like to apply for more jobs, you can access your profile by logging in with your login and password from our career page.

What is EEO and what is the diversity section on the application?
The diversity page captures an applicant's EEO information for the U.S. or diversity information for the U.K. The information you provide will be used solely for reporting and statistical analysis required by the government. Although Marsh & McLennan Companies would greatly appreciate your voluntary cooperation, refusal to complete this form will not subject you to adverse treatment or in any way affect any employment decisions made by Marsh & McLennan Companies. If you choose not to self-identify, your gender and race/ethnicity will be recorded by a company representative based on visual observation.

How do I attach a file to my application? How do I manage that file?
You can attach a file - like a writing sample, if requested by our recruiters - by clicking the "Browse" button and selecting the file you wish to attach. Once you've selected the file, click "Open" and then "Attach." You may attach up to 3 files of 200 MB. To update an attached file, attach another file with the exact same name as the file you would like to update and the system will replace the old file with the new file. To delete the file, simply click on the "Delete" button located to the right of the attachment.

Will you notify me if there are new positions that fit my skill set?
Within your Candidate Profile you can designate your "Job Preferences." Included are your preferred job location(s) as well as your other expressed specifications. After choosing your preferences, you must activate the checkbox indicating that you would like to receive notifications. If a newly posted position matches your designated preferences, you will be notified via email.

Can I submit my resume to a local Marsh & McLennan Companies office?
Resumes are accepted online.
