Flying Below the Radar: Do You Have Stealth Applications?
Just about every company has what we like to call "stealth applications" - those that have been developed
or acquired by end users without the knowledge or participation of the IT department. In some cases, these
applications, which might be as simple as an Excel file or an Access application, become integral to
important business processes but have never become the responsibility of a company's IT function. In fact,
the IT group may not even know the application exists.
