How prepared are we?
Plan and Prepare: Mercer helps clients conduct pandemic preparedness reviews, the first step of which is to determine if the organization has developed an emergency preparedness plan and to learn when it was last updated and tested. Mercer then determines if employees are aware of the plan, if it covers all aspects of pay, benefits and policies, and if any locations or functions have separate plans (and if so, whether those plans consistent with the broad plan). When clients don't already have a pandemic preparedness plan in place, Mercer can help them develop one.

What can I do to protect my business prior to an outbreak?
Plan and prepare: Marsh has expertise mapping organizations' extended value chains to understand which suppliers are critical and determine how they plan to continue operating. For the internal side, Marsh identifies the processes and functions that need to be prioritized when a pandemic occurs. The next step is to create a global contingency plan that takes these important resources into account. Marsh also helps businesses build effective corporate planning and response teams. This includes designing a training program that is scalable in line with an escalating crisis; and ensuring that all employees - particularly those critical to keeping the business operating - understand their roles and responsibilities.
