Alonso is a Principal in Mercer’s Madrid office with 10 years of international consulting experience. His day-to-day activities include working closely with multinational organizations and introducing Mercer´s new talent product developments to help HR executives and their organizations prepare for the future of work.
Alonso joined Mercer in January 2018. He provides a broad range of advice to multinationals, focusing on talent management, employee experience, and strategic workforce planning efforts, among others.
Prior to joining Mercer, Alonso was based in London, where he worked as a Commercial Director at Gartner (Formerly CEB) for six years. During his time at Gartner, he held a number of commercial roles from direct sales to sales management; he directly partnered with CHROs and heads of talent management and learning and development from the largest companies across Southern Europe, helping his clients achieve critical business objectives through successful talent and functional strategies.
Alonso holds a B.A.(Hons) in Industrial Design from Universidad Iberoamericana of Mexico City, and an M.A with distinction in Marketing and Sales Management from Esden Business School in Madrid, Spain and the University of Cambridge in UK.
