James Cummings is a Senior Advisor on Cyber Risk Management and Cyber Defense for Oliver Wyman. He is currently a Partner and Co-Founder of Next Peak, a cyber defense advisory and operational capacity building firm. 

Jim has extensive corporate and government cyber and physical security experience. He previously served as Chief Security Officer for JP Morgan Chase & Co. directing and executing physical and cyber security, investigations, and business resiliency efforts for over 240,000 employees in 60 countries and over 6,500 facilities worldwide. As a career military intelligence officer, he served as the Director of Homeland Defense on the National Security Council (the White House), and commanded full spectrum cyberspace operations for the United States Air Force. While at the White House he advised the President of the United States and the National Security Advisor on United States Homeland Defense policy, United States Air Force, and DoD cyber issues. 

Jim is an active community volunteer with veterans causes and currently serves on the board of directors of Building Homes for Heroes, which builds mortgage-free homes catered to the unique needs of disabled veterans.
