Kelly Outram

Managing Director and Head of Global Contractor Development, Marsh

Kelly is currently responsible for Marsh JLT Specialty’s Global Contractor development strategy, coordinating construction teams across the globe to ensure we bring the best of our offering to major contractor clients - irrespective of geographies. Kelly is based in London and her global remit brings industry lead insights and solutions to contractor clients that transcend beyond traditional transactional construction insurance. Kelly has worked closely, and continues to work closely, with many international insurers as well as other specialist construction teams within the global network.

Prior to this, Kelly was a Regional Construction Director in Asia and head of the Marsh JLT Specialty Hong Kong Construction practice. She was also on the Board of Directors for JLT Hong Kong. During her time in Asia (2009 - 2020), Kelly was responsible for the management, placement, and servicing of both local and international construction clients in Hong Kong and the Asia region.  Kelly has worked on multiple complex construction placements, including the Hong Kong Airport Authority’s USD18bn Third Runway System project, the MTR Shatin to Central Link metro Project in Hong Kong (USD11bn), MGM New Cotai Casino in Macau (USD3bn), and the Hong Kong Disney Land expansion (USD900m). She was also responsible for providing innovative insurance solutions for major international contractors operating in Asia, including Gammon Construction (whose major shareholder is Balfour Beatty), Leighton Asia (part of the wider Australian CIMIC group), Vinci Group Subsidiaries, and Samsung Engineering Co Ltd (Korea).

Prior to her time in Asia, Kelly was based in the JLT London Construction team and was responsible for the development, placement, and servicing of large construction projects. In particular, she specialized in PPP/PFI private financed projects. Kelly was personally involved in the 2012 London Olympic Games insurance advisory.

Kelly is also an active participant in many construction industry-related groups and is a strong supporter, and active participant, in various diversity & inclusion networks.
