Lara Mowery is Guy Carpenter’s Global Head of Distribution. In this role, Lara focuses on the creation and delivery of best in class solutions, tools, technology and thought leadership related to Guy Carpenter’s partner relationships to deliver a differentiated client experience. She is responsible for placement distribution strategy setting market-leading standards for client/broker/reinsurer interactions.
Lara also plays a key role in the application of technology to streamline business processes and advance data initiatives across Guy Carpenter’s broking infrastructure globally. She is the business owner for GC MarketPlace™, a revolutionary web-based reinsurance placement system launched in January 2015 covering all lines of business worldwide. She continues to focus on the advancement of reinsurance data standardization and digital solutions across several initiatives.
Lara was previously Global Head of the Property Center of Excellence, providing the framework for the direction of Guy Carpenter’s thought leadership and tactical execution of its property initiatives. Lara is credited with developing several best practice tools and contract language solutions for the property marketplace. She has extensive experience with state residual insurance markets and government pools worldwide.
Lara is a member of the American Red Cross Regional Board of Directors, Hamline University Business School Board and the Broker Advisory Board of the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR).
