Adam Perkins

Partner, Oliver Wyman

Adam is a partner in the Energy and Natural Resources Practice, where he primarily supports commodity trading firms to develop commercial strategies, redefine their operating models, and enhance their approach to risk.

He helps companies across the commodities markets to unlock value from trading. He works with major commodity producers to set up world-class trading organizations and with sophisticated independent traders to transform into more agile and profitable organizations. He has experience in every major globally-traded commodity class except orange juice concentrate.

I enjoy helping commodities traders manage immense complexity to remain competitive at the bleeding edge of supply and demand, where the world’s markets are truly made.

Adam graduated with honors in Mathematics from Cambridge University and remains passionate about professional and recreational mathematics. He applies his skills in modelling complex dynamic systems, cryptography, and number theory, to build cutting-edge risk systems in commodities markets, combining strategic insight and hands-on technical expertise.

He enjoys solving difficult problems both at work and in his personal life, where he dedicates his free time on crosswords, pub quizzes, and other puzzles. He lives in North London with his partner, their cat, and their son.
