In August 2019, John Legg assumed the leadership of Mercer's Career business within the state of Texas. Through this role, John leads the Talent and Rewards teams in Mercer's Dallas and Houston offices and partners with the national Executive Compensation and Communications teams in each office.
Prior to joining the Career business, John was a Senior Client Relationship Manager, with responsibility for pursuing new business growth and ensuring client satisfaction across a portfolio of clients in the Texas Gulf Coast and Global markets. John also leads the Energy Vertical in the United State and Canada - ensuring Mercer's global go-to-market strategy is applied across all lines of business for clients in the industry.
John has 12+ years of consulting and corporate HR experience, including a 3+ year assignment in Dubai, UAE, as a Global HR Manager for an offshore drilling company. John began his career as a consultant in Mercer’s Talent consulting business, then held various analytical and management positions with companies in the Oil & Gas industry.
John holds a BBA in Management and a BA in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
